Say goodbye to January. The first month of 2018 came and went. And what a crazy month it has been. Since we started around the end of 2017, this is the first full month of the shop. That means this is the first month we’ll compare our stats to. Visitors, Visits, Sales and all other results. Something I’m very proud of (beside the 27 orders - oops), are orders that came in from Tokyo, Ireland, Denmark and Hawaii. So without further ado, lets dive right into it!
We’ve got some exciting new cities available: Cork in Ireland, Paramaribo Suriname, a few Dutch cities; Houten, Enkhuizen, Hengelo, The Hague, Deventer, Haarlem, Moergestel, Alkmaar, Leiden, Breda, Hasselt, Koedijk.
Since we want to focus on our global Market, we’re very happy that we also received a few international request. We also took it upon ourselves to create a few important global players. So other new leggings this month are: Istanbul Turkey, Bucharest Romania, Hong Kong China, Seoul South-Korea, Dakar, Sydney, Cologne, Chicago, Cracow Poland, Ireland and Miami.
We also made two very special leggings for our National holiday “Kingsday”.
Before we jump into our order results, I would love to let you know that besides working a fulltime job, I was able to invest 32 hours every week into creating new leggings, campaigns, monitoring and customer contact (Nass mostly).
Creating around 20+ Facebook campaigns and +340 leggings took a lot of time. A lot of work and not always with succes. I feel that I’ve learned a lot from these campaigns. What worked best for us are local-based Campaigns that focus on a single legging. I’ve got a lot more experimenting that I want to do but am very pleased with the progress so far.
The last 30 days resulted us in 3.272 visits from 3.014 visitors. Those visits resulted in 27 orders. I’m incredibly happy with that outcome. With the advertisement and production costs of the leggings, we didn’t make any money yet but that’s okay. We’re in it for the long run. The store has a conversion rate of 0.86% which is on the low side but is increasing a lot. For example, over the last 14 days its 0.99% which is acceptable.
Requested Leggings are very important to us. It increases our contact moments with our people and grows our mailinglist. Currently our Mailchimp account contains 59 subscribers. We’ve received 32 requests for news Leggings (at the time of writing, I still need to create 4 of those) which is amazing!
Most of our users are on their Phone (86% 2.345) and Desktop (11% 287) only a few on Tablet (3% 91).
Most users find us trough Social Media (62% 1.711) while (19% 524) finds us directly. Other users are trough Paid Search (AdWords), Referral, Search or Email (Mailchimp).
Beside creating all those new leggings, we’ve improved the Request Your City form. Not only does it look a lot better, but it’s directly linked with Mailchimp. This allows us to inform the people when there are new leggings available. As mentioned in our previous post, we’ve switched from Dollars ($) to Euros (€).
We’ve reached out to a few Marathons without succes.
Incredible. The month just flew by. Before saying goodbye for now, I want to get something of my chest real quick. I want to thank everybody for their amazing responses and purchases. So many people left awesome comments and feedback on our Social Media… Amazing. Also seeing so many people show-off their legging (use @mapleggings on Instagram!) was something that made me really proud!
We want to share all the pictures everyone made of their legging on our site. Feel free to send us your pictures mail@mapleggings.com or post them on Instagram / Twitter with @mapleggings. We’re going to invest more time in Facebook Campaigns, reaching out to new Influencers, work on a Return functionality that will help people who purchased the wrong size, run a new campaign for Request Your City and promote our Kingsday Collection.
Thank you so much for reading trough all this. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to reach out to us!
PS: Oh yeah, we're going to Egypt for a one-week Holiday!
